During your stay you have 2400 acres of private ranch to call home - the Bitterroot River defines the West boundary of the ranch. This stucco house has been restored, remodeled, and tastefully decorated (new appliances too). Prepared all of our meals right at the house! The house is 50 feet from the Bitteroot River bank so you can open the windows and listen to to the river all night long.
Picnic anywhere on the ranch or take a break from the outdoors and eat at the large dining room table, or the Gazebo. Sleeping arrangement: Main floor with a queen size bed; 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and the other with 2 twins.
This private and prime location is ideal for on-property fly fishing and wildlife viewing. Sitting by a fire, or just relaxing in the gazebo and watch the river go by are unique outdoor amenities. The views from the large living room windows are incredible! Enjoy many of the original (1939) features, purposely left to add rustic and historic charm.

Our House on the Bitterroot River is a great place to stretch out and appreciate the beauty of the outdoors in rural Montana. Fishing access right out the front door. There are numerous hiking trails close by including Lake Como which has a roped off, sandy swimming beach.

The house is great for families with young children or teens, sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, or surprising your honey with a last-minute getaway.

We enjoyed our stay immensely, the house was perfect, spacious, clean and all the amenities while the property was perfect, wildlife and right next to the river for fishing. Joe from PA
What a great place. We stayed for eight nights in this fantastic house. The owners have totally rehabbed the house and equipped it with everything you would need for your stay. Located on a working ranch, you get the feeling of being away from it all, but still convenient to Hamilton which has all you would need for your stay. Cattle out of one window, horses out another, and the river only steps away. I am not a fisherman, but I caught several trout in the Bitteroot River 50 feet from the front door. They also built a great gazebo on the river where you can relax withe a nice glass of wine and watch the river flow by. If you need the big city fix, you are only 45 minutes from Missoula. The owners are great people and were very responsive to our needs. All in all, this was one of the best and most relaxing vacations I have been on in a while. I would highly recommend staying here.
